Have you checked out Old Navy lately? The brand just dropped new handbags, and they’re seriously stylish. Zac Posen — the designer behind his namesake brand, which shut down in 2019 — was once known for creating luxury dresses and bags. Now he’s the creative director behind Gap-owned brands including Old Navy, so it’s no surprise that the line has a more elevated, designer-like feel (much like a lot of Old Navy’s fashion these days!).
“A great handbag is the finishing touch to an outfit; it’s the piece that pulls everything together,” Posen told Elle. “The colors and materials were chosen to feel modern yet timeless, so these handbags have longevity while still feeling fresh.”
The best part? All of the bags are under $45! Considering that some of them look like they could be from The Row (and cost upwards of $3,600), the prices feel especially sweet. The line is broken into three collections: The Carrie, The Romantic and The Preppy. Take a look and grab your fave before it’s gone.
The Carrie Collection
This collection features two simple, modern totes and a shoulder bag that looks and feels timeless. You could carry (Carrie?) these any day of the week, dressing them up or down as needed. The pieces come in mostly neutral colors like black, brown, olive and burgundy, but you’ll also find some red faux leather in the mix, and the convertible crossbody comes in a trendy faux calf hair cow print.
The Romantic Collection
These bags seem to have been made with date nights, weddings and other special occasions in mind. They include an elevated bracelet bag in soft faux suede with gold hardware that looks a lot pricier than $30. Choose from a moody selection of colors, including burgundy, navy, light blue, blush, red and brown.

The Preppy Collection
The Preppy Collection includes three styles — a bucket, shoulder and crossbody bag — all with a gold magnetic tab that fastens at the top. The tab is a big trend in bags right now even on higher-end styles by Hermes or, again, The Row.
