“I grew up watching the Logies with my family, so this is certainly an honour. Australian television has given so much to so many people. To be part of the biggest night in Aussie TV is something I don’t take lightly. I cannot wait!”

Seven’s Managing Director of Television and Streaming Angus Ross said Irwin is one of the most exciting and sought-after stars in the world right now.

“He has captured the hearts of audiences from Australia to America and everywhere in between; there is simply no one better to lead Australia’s biggest night of television.

“The 66th TV WEEK Logie Awards on Seven is the must-watch television event of the year.”

Australian TV is set to celebrate a 70-year milestone in 2026 with the Logies set to be a celebration of the decades of storytelling.

Voting for the Top 70 Australian TV shows of the Last 70 years poll is now open and closes Sunday, June 21 at 5pm AEST.

Fans can also add any shows not shortlisted.

The 66th TV WEEK Logies will be streamed from The Star Sydney live and exclusively on Seven and 7plus on Sunday, August 16.
